US Marshal Jay Stonewalker and NYC PD Detective KC Daviau team up to stop terrorists from contaminating the NYC subway system with radioactive material, but KC has a secret — she’s unwittingly working with the terrorists and she’s falling in love with Jay. Jay, a Native American, and the surviving son of a Downwinder. Downwinder is a name used to describe the Native Americans who were affected by nuclear testing in Nevada in the late 1940’s and 50’s. Many of the Downwinders contracted various forms of cancer due to exposure of nuclear fallout that was driven by prevailing winds across western America. He is dedicated to stop nuclear threats of all kinds.
Against his supervisor’s wishes, Jay goes to New York City to investigate a possible terrorist threat he discovered while patrolling suspected terrorist chat rooms.
Duped into working with the terrorists KC believes they are anti-nuclear activists and she intentionally misleads Jay to keep him away from what she believes will be an anti-nuclear demonstration.
When she discovers the truth, she risks her life and her love for Jay to save her beloved New York City.
